Week 9 Baptized By The Rain…

Image
Wasss good yall!! Hope all is well. I'll keep this one short and just talk about that caption ahaha!  So basically we were teaching homie named Ronnie for a bit. He's your typical southern semi truck driver. We had him on date to be baptized, things were going good. We met with him again and he said he was baptized by the rain and confirmed by the sun. Yes he was being serious, yes he did a lot of drugs in the past. Who knows cuz honestly idek. Maybe he's just that guy idk. We took him off date and we might drop him cuz he is convinced and won't think otherwise. Oh well All has been good tho, lots of people progressing, it's weird tho cuz as soon as we put someone on date, Satan just completely destroys them. All good tho just gotta trust the process and have faith. Tell your mom you love her! Yall stay safe!!

Yo yo yo what up everyone!!! I hope you all are doing well! The title of this email is about all I come in contact with out here in Fort Payne ahaha! All is well and I'm truly so grateful for the opportunity to be out here! I don't wanna bore you all with everyone I'm teaching and everything so imma just say a couple things about a couple people and if you wanna know more feel free to message me on messenger! So we roll up to shyannes crib and elder pay gives a fire home blessing and she started crying during it which was so sick! We set an appointment to meet with her again, long story short she called us literally a minute after the lesson crying and said to not come back to her house. We came to the understanding her husband was the cause of this and made her do it cuz she was so down and was getting so hyped. But oh well hopefully she'll change her mind We've been teaching David for a little bit and he's on date for the 29th and he's your typical constru...

Week 7 Alabama…

Yo what up everyone totally forgot to send out a email so this gonna be super short. It's been such a good time here in Fort Payne. My trainers are so dope. I've been speaking a little Spanish here and there but I've mainly just been blessing a lot of homes and a lot of people in english. Tonight was actually the first time I ever blessed a home in Spanish so that was cool I guess. Elder chase just looks at me and is like "Elder McKenna you wanna go for it" and I was like uhhh yes. So I went for it and who knows what I said cuz I sure didn't ahaha but Elder chase was hyping me up and saying I did really good. But my spiritual message and invitation to you all is to truly find out for yourself who Christ is to you. The more we struggle and suffer the more we become like Christ because we are experiencing just a tiny bit of what he experienced and suffered in the garden for us. The atonement is real people, but most importantly, It. Is. Infinite. Love you all an...

Week 5 General Conference and Reassignment!…

Image
What up homies!!! Hope all is well with you all! This was my first ever general conference where I watched all the sessions, took notes, and had questions beforehand! Let me tell you, I have been missing out on a lot of opportunities to feel the spirit and receive revelation from conferences growing up. Don't worry mom that's not your fault, you tried to get me to do all that I was just too stubborn to do so ahahah. I seriously was so overwhelmed by every single person that spoke. It's insane like they just be up there spittin straight doctrine. One of my favorite quotes that stood out to me was from Elder Jorge F. Zeballos and it says "Let us leave judgement in the Lord's hands and those he has commissioned and be content to love and treat each other the best we can." I truly love that a lot because it is not up to us to tell people where they are going wrong or what they can do better or judge them in any way. We all gotta fr just take a step back, think wha...
